The Soul Behind Mitra Ghee
Where Tradition Meets Trust
In a world that’s rushing faster than ever, we chose to slow down — to go back to the roots of how ghee was once made: patiently, lovingly, and purely.
At Mitra Ghee, we believe that real nourishment comes from care — not machines. That’s why every jar we make is handcrafted the traditional Bilona way, from native, free-grazing desi cows who are treated like family.
Born from the Love of Purity
It all begins on our green pastures, where native Gir and Sahiwal cows graze freely, feeding on fresh grass and natural fodder. Their milk is hand-milked gently, just as our grandmothers did — without stress, without machines, without compromise.
The fresh milk is then boiled slowly on a wood-fired stove, cultured in claypots, and churned by hand using the age-old Bilona method. From this slow churning emerges makhan (butter) — golden, rich, and pure — which we then simmer patiently over a slow flame until it transforms into liquid gold: Mitra Ghee.
Crafted with Care. Checked with Precision
Every batch of Mitra Ghee passes through 19 rigorous quality checks to ensure it meets our uncompromising standards of purity, aroma, and taste.
We don’t rush the process.
We don’t use shortcuts.
We let time, tradition, and fire do their magic.
Finally, the ghee is hand-strained, packed, and sealed with care — so that every spoonful you take carries the warmth of our farms, the patience of our craft, and the blessings of purity.
More Than Ghee. A Relationship.
The name Mitra means friend — and that’s exactly what we aspire to be in your kitchen: a trusted companion who brings comfort, authenticity, and goodness to your everyday meals.
From the first aroma to the last drop, Mitra Ghee isn’t just food — it’s a feeling.
A return to simplicity.
A taste of real tradition.
A reminder that purity still exists — when you care enough to preserve it.
